Edgedancer

Hello friends,

This post is about the book Edgedancer. Edgedancer is a novella that sits between Words of Radiance and Oathbringer. It explores the life of Lift, the new radiant introduced to the readers in the first interlude of Words of Radiance - Part 2. 

Lift manages to save her friend Gawx from death by using her Surgebinding powers. She also uses her power to escape from Nin - the herald of justice - who wants to execute her for being a radiant. Upon saving her friend who is appointed as the new prime of Azir, Lift follows Nin to the city of Tashikk. It is nice to read about the life and culture of a new region and it provides a welcome change from the events in the shattered plains. It is in this city that Lift learns about her powers and the truth behind the herald of justice. Lift might not be everyone's favourite character but by the end of this book the readers can be rest assured that she will play a very important role in the storm light archive series. My Goodreads review of this book can be accessed using the link below,
