The Way of Kings, Part 1
Hello friends,
I spent the last two months reading this fantastic novel in detail which was written by Mr. Brandon Sanderson and I am happy to say that I loved the book and can't wait to read part 2 of the first installment from The Stormlight Archive, The Way of Kings.
The story is set in the magical yet divided world of Roshar and this book serves as a masterclass in world building in fantasy novels. The author describes in detail each aspect of the world so that the reader can appreciate this new world they are introduced to and by the end of this book you will come to know that you have scratched only it's surface. The plot revolves around three titular characters who are swallowed by a war while solving the problems of their own lives. Their interactions with the other important characters serve as the platform for the author to provide his views on complex topics such as philosophy, art, war, governance, death, life, greed, love, friendship, race & betrayal.
In all, The Way of Kings is an excellent book with an intriguing plot and a massive world to explore. The relatable characters, thought provoking interactions and mystery that is waiting to be unfolded make the readers want to pick up part 2 as soon as part 1 is completed.
