Investment ambiguities??
Hello friends,
It's been two months since my last post. Since the last two months, the way we conduct our daily lives has been changed drastically due to COVID-19. I also see this as an opportunity to strengthen ourselves by acquiring knowledge on topics which we are not familiar with.
One such areas for myself is the realm of investing, particularly value investing. The trouble I am faced with is that there are so many economic areas to invest including but not limited to equities, bonds, gold, forex trading, mutual funds etc. With so many options arise ambiguities out of which some of them are pointed below,
- Methods to analyze whether a stock is worthy of investment?
- How to maintain an optimal portfolio?
- Even if a stock is worthy of investment, how do you know it's the right time to buy that stock?
- Is it worth investing in mutual funds when you are already investing in stocks?
- How to identify a bond that will provide good yield in the future?
- Does physical/digital gold provide better value than gold bonds?
- How do you analyze a given mutual fund's performance?
- What are some of the ideal ways to invest in currencies?
- How to apply the power of compounding to equities, bonds & other types of investments?
The above points are some of the questions that I have in mind with respect to value investing and I am sure that a great many of you have similar if not better questions with regards to value investing for which you are seeking answers. Similarly, I am also seeking answers for my questions and I hoped that this would be a good platform to discuss about this topic. Any answer in the form of forum links, other blog links, book/articles recommendations etc are much appreciated as it will help broaden the horizon for myself and my peers who read this blog.
I would also like to use this opportunity to thank all the hospital & healthcare professionals around the globe who are working relentlessly to save the lives of millions of people affected by Corona virus. A huge thanks & salute to all of them!! We will overcome this crisis together.
Stay safe & Stay healthy.
Till next time!!
