Is this the right period to invest in stock markets??

Hello friends,

I have started investing in stocks since 2019 and ever since I have started investing, I have had this lingering question in the back of my mind, "Is this the right time to be investing in stock markets?". This question sprung to my mind after watching the stock market (in India) and by observing that a lot of stocks might be overpriced, meaning there is not much value in return to the money invested (for a person such as myself who buys 10's to 100's of stocks at a time). I also had a thought that it would be rather profitable if I invest in an Index fund (Funds that follow the market closely). I have also started reading a book called " How to pick stocks like Warren Buffet" by Mr. Timothy Vick which has broadened my knowledge about stock markets and investing rules.

I am by no means an expert at stock picking rather I feel like I am at the opposite end of the spectrum. Hence, it would be great to get some advice regarding the above question. I am sure that other people have similar questions regarding equity investments and I thought that this topic might also help them. The above observation I made regarding stock prices overpriced for certain great stocks was with respect to Indian stock market only which I have been observing for quiet sometime now. If you can share your knowledge regarding other nation's stock markets, it'll be an added bonus. If you can share some investment tips, that would be awesome!! But it depends on what you want to share.
