Another sensible joke!!
Hi friends,
I wanted to share a joke with you guys. The joke also has a good moral embedded in it which I shall reveal after the joke. Here goes,
Characters: Manager, Applicant
Plot: An applicant attends an interview in a company. He is subsequently interviewed by the manager. During the interview,
Manager: What is 8 x 3 =?
Applicant: (Nervous...) 23!!
Manager: Okay
.
.
.
.
The interview continues and the applicant is asked to go home and wait for the results. The applicant goes home and thinks about the silly mistake made by him day in and day out & comes to the conclusion that he is not going to be selected. On the day the results are announced, the applicant gets to know that he is the only candidate to be selected. Surprised, the applicant readily joins the company and starts working.
One day, the applicant (now employee) meets the manager who conducted the interview and begins to ask the manager,
Employee: How did you select me for this role even though I gave a wrong answer to your question 8 x 3=?
Manager: Indeed you gave a wrong answer, but your answer was the "Nearest Perfect Answer" out of all the candidates who appeared for the interview.
Employee: 😕
My takeaway: You can expect perfect answers for scientific experiments but in life a "Nearest Perfect Answer" gives you happiness.
Post your takeaway from this joke in the comments below.
Best,
Thejas
